Becki Biggins’ Big Family Show at the Ipswich Jazz Festival

St Peters By the Waterfront, College Street, Ipswich, Suffolk

Award-winning jazz singer and educator Becki Biggins brings her Big Family Show to this year’s festival. With tons of energy and an infectious passion for music, Becki takes us on a whirlwind tour of the Blues.

Becki is a much-respected vocalist and songwriter. With writing partner Paul Hardcastle (19, The Wizard) she has had three No.1 US jazz albums and the pair were nominated for a Grammy Award. She is also a qualified teacher and a Mum to two small, feral boys.

This interactive workshop, aimed at ages 4-12 and their grown-ups, is totally performance-led and a great way for little ones to blow off some steam; expect clapping, singing, dancing, percussion instruments by the bucketload and, most importantly – SINGING!

Following sold-out performances at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Birmingham’s Symphony Hall we’re expecting this workshop to be very popular.

This is a free event because of funding by Ipswich Borough Council’s Area Committees. (Please, children must have an adult parent or guardian with them).

Followed by a short performance by Cliff Lane Primary School orchestra playing some jazz.
